Sakinah is an Arabic word for tranquility: the calm and peace we feel in moments of devotion. That feeling is at the heart of everything we do.
We created SAKINAH™ because prayer should be a moment of focus and peace, not discomfort. For many worshippers, especially parents, grandparents and anyone with sensitive knees, kneeling and prostrating on a thin mat can make salah harder than it should be.
Our Ergonomic Prayer Mat brings together 8 cm of memory foam knee support, a padded base, a soft velvet surface and a non-slip underside. It is designed to add comfort to every prayer without taking away from its simplicity.
